The Scarabeo Club
Twin Cities Italian is offering the "Scarabeo" Club. Scarabeo is the Italian version of the popular American word game Scrabble invented in 1938 by the architect Alfred Mosher Butts. In Italy the board game was introduced in the mid 1950s by Aldo Pasetti and it became very popular.
This is a great game to improve your vocabulary while playing with other people, no matter your language level. You are going to be playing in a small group - up to four players per table. We'll meet once a month during Fall and Winter. Places are limited - register in advance by contacting us. The registration cost is $ 5.00 + lunch. You'll need to buy your own lunch at the location (part of the agreement for being able to use this space).
We'll meet at the South Lyndale Liquors and Market on 5516 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis. Free parking is available on premises.
Next meeting: Thursday, November 14 from noon to 1:30pm.
